ParentsForthcoming PTA events 2009-2010Annual School Summer Fair Sunday 13th June 1-4pm. All welcome. Any volunteers please speak to your class reps. Recent PTA eventsInternational Evening. This was very successful, children wore national dress or fancy dress and enjoyed dancing (including Limbo Dancing) to music from around the world. Thank you to everyone who donated food from many different cultures or gave prizes for the raffle. Thank you to everyone who came and also to the organisers for a very enjoyable night. Annual PTA Quiz Night. Held in March, this was another great success. Over 60 parents, friends and staff competed and relaxed over a good dinner and drinks. This year the staff team were victorious by just half a point. Over £700 was raised The PTA Coffee Morning In February was a success with around 50 parents attending. A sizeable donation was made to the MacMillan Cancer Charity. The Christmas Fair was held Friday in December. All tickets were sold out and everyone spent a happy couple of hours browsing the stalls, playing games, having their face painted, visiting Santa and enjoying the food and drink. The PTA worked hard to organise everything and their efforts are much appreciated. The Children's Autumn Spooky Disco was held just after half-term with 200 tickets sold. Thanks to all of the parents for decorating the school hall so brilliantly once again, the haunted forest looked great. The number of children who entered the fancy-dress parade was the highest ever according to Mr. Flaherty who judged the event. Thanks also go to to all parents who brought food, donated Tombola prizes or simply brought along themselves and their children to a great night. . |
