Help Paying for Clubs and Wraparound Care

There are various ways to get help to pay for after school clubs and wraparound care, two ways that the majority of families qualify for are through the Tax-Free Childcare and the Free School Meals schemes.

If you’re working

You can get up to £500 every 3 months (up to £2,000 a year) for each of your children to help with the costs. This goes up to £4,000 a year if a child is disabled.

You will usually qualify if you (and your partner) are in work, on sick leave or annual leave, on shared parental, maternity, paternity or adoption leave, and you’re going back to work within 31 days of the date you first applied

Check if you can benefit and apply for an account at https://www.gov.uk/get-tax-free-childcare.

Once you are set up you can pay for clubs through the tax-free childcare system. You will need to complete a cash transfer form https://www.cavendishschool.org.uk/Childcare-Schemes-Cash-Transfers/ to request the school bank details and to notify the team when your payment has been made and how you would like to spend it.

If you’re not currently working
