Welcome to Year 5! On this page you will find information about what we are learning about in class each week and any other information that we need to share with you. If you have any questions please do come and speak to us!

This week in Year 5:

The caterpillars have arrived! Everyone has been intrigued to see what the caterpillars are up to and cannot wait to see them transfer into butterflies over the next few weeks!

Routines:

The school day starts promptly in class at 8.55 am. Please use the soft start from 8.45 am to ensure your child is on time. If your child is late to school, please bring them to the school office to sign them in.
Homework will be given out on a Thursday and collected in on a Monday.
Year 5 have a library book changing slot on a Tuesday afternoon. Normal reading books can be changed any day.
The children are able to bring in healthy snacks for break time.

Home Learning

Home learning is given every Thursday. Please return homework books for marking each Monday.

Optional Challenge:

This half-term in History we are learning about The Victorians. Carry out your own research on the school life during these times, differences and similarities between now and then and anything else. You may present your research as a booklet, a presentation, a poster, or whatever you would like.
